Belated Mouthwatering Monday

Last week I put up some dog ice cream for Mouthwatering Monday, and I guess I'm on a dessert kick because look what I found on etsy! Tons of fun, all-natural doggie desserts. These look so good I might end up sharing them with my dog :)
DivaDogBakery has so many dog treats options you'll definitely have trouble deciding what to buy. Don't worry though, she has you covered with her Dog Treats Sample Pack, priced at only $13. Spend over $15 and get free shipping, too! Now that won't be hard to do, will it?

Abigail! Abby is a rescue whippet from NYC *and* the newest addition to our family! Her last family had a hard time keeping up with her puppy energy (she's one year old now) in the city and gave her up to a Whippet Rescue (WRAP). She bounced around a few times in the city before the last family thought enough of her to give her over to WRAP. Brenda took her into her home with all of her gorgeous hounds, before we found each other. Lucky us to have found her! Finding young whippet pups is a real rarity, and she's such a sweetie! We knew instantly upon meeting her that we liked her, so we definitely scored. She's a very chill hound who's puppy energy really comes through when she's first meeting/greeting someone. Other than that, she hardly seems like a puppy at all. She makes Dewey look like the real spaz in this family (which may not be that hard I guess).

Speaking of Dewey, I think we just made his whole life by bringing this beautiful creature into the house. He LOVES her! He'll actually sit there and lick and nibble on her ears...it's almost a little embarrassing to witness. And she's so calm and good with our son. Our #1 concern is that this dog be good with kids, and she seems to be just that. Abby just needs a little training and to learn a few manners but she's already catching on - so that's a good sign. Not a nervous bone in her body. More updates (and pictures) to follow.

Mouthwatering Monday

Who's hungry? I like ice cream so much I've always thought my dog would enjoy these treats...especially in the summer when it's hot out! This ice cream comes in original and peanut butter flavors. I have yet to have my dog try this, but I'm sure it would be a big hit. Have any of you ever given your dogs doggie ice cream? Did they like it?

Feature Friday

Every Friday we'll feature something we find that we think you, our loyal readers, would like to hear about. This week we're featuring different doggie bowls we found from etsy! There are quite a variety available, so if you want to see more options you should click here. We chose the dog bowls listed above because they are completely customizable-you can get your dog's name and whatever painting you want put on the bowl! The dog bowls below can be found here. These are awesome because they are ergonomic; since the bowls are elevated in their own special container, they won't hurt your dog's neck whenever he or she wants to eat or drink! I have a set like this for my dog, and it's so great because she doesn't have to bend way down every time she wants a drink of water. So that's all for this post. Leave a comment and let me know if you have anythink you think should be featured for a future Friday. Have a great weekend!

Hot-Diggity-Dog Wednesday!

Carrot.jpg, originally uploaded by ClassicHound.

We're having a FREE GIVEAWAY! It's our first one ever and we're so excited! We may even make a habit of this every Hot-Diggity-Dog Wednesday! What better way to celebrate the fact that the middle of the week is here?!

This Giggle Carrot is a 9" tall stuffie, which makes a "giggle" type sound when shaken or turned upside down. Hounds go crazy for it! The giggler doesn't require any batteries - it works by air flow - and often lasts much longer than a standard squeaker! To enter, just leave a comment - it's that easy! The winner will be randomly selected and announced next Hot-Diggity-Dog Wednesday!
