I couldn't resist posting pictures of yet another fun bug Little Guy and I came across on a bike ride. Our first fun find was Cicada back in July, and yesterday we found this gorgeous Katydid. It's wings literally looked just like two green leaves. Pretty awesome. Little guy loved checking him out and was really gentle with him, mostly we just watched the bug with our eyes.
While I'm glad that fall has arrived (this September has been a beautiful one!), I must admit I'm a little sad to say good-bye to all the cool summer insects. Now, bring on the cider donuts and apple pies!
